Why Swish Solutions Exists
Growing up, I was self-taught. I had the passion, determination, and work ethic, but I didn't have the guidance to master the details — the footwork, shooting mechanics, basketball IQ, and the preparation that separates good players from great ones.
I learned through trial and error, setbacks, and years of experience. That journey eventually led me to earn a Division II basketball scholarship at Humboldt State University. But when I got there, I realized that talent and heart alone weren't enough. I wasn't fully prepared to compete at the level I had worked so hard to reach.
That experience changed everything.
I created Swish Solutions to ensure young athletes have the coaching, mentorship, and development I wish I had growing up. Our mission goes beyond teaching basketball — we help athletes build confidence, discipline, leadership, and the habits that lead to success both on and off the court.
At Swish Solutions, we believe every athlete deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential through intentional coaching, a positive community, and a commitment to continuous growth.

Raven Herrington
Founder, CEO & Head Coach
Former D2 Scholarship Athlete · Saddleback CC 1st Team All-Conference (x2)
Raven has been playing basketball since she was 5 years old. Self-taught and hungry, she worked her way to play at Saddleback Community College where she earned 1st Team All-Conference honors both years — then earned a scholarship to Humboldt State University (D2). But after years of grinding without the right guidance on technique, footwork, and IQ, she rode the bench when she finally made it. That experience became the fuel. Raven built Swish Solutions so no young athlete has to learn the hard way. She also served as Director at Magic Elite Basketball and continues to play semi-professionally today.
Coach Chris
Certified Personal Trainer & Performance Coach · Swish Coach
Former D1 Dual-Sport Athlete · All-American (Texas Southern) · HS All-Time Leading Scorer — 2,287 Career Points
Coach Chris is a former Division I dual-sport athlete who earned the rare opportunity to sign out of high school to play both football and basketball at the collegiate level. His athletic journey took him through Itawamba Community College, Texas Southern University, and the University of Houston. During his career at Texas Southern, Chris earned All-American honors — a testament to his dedication, work ethic, and elite performance on the field. Before college, he established himself as one of the most accomplished athletes in his hometown, finishing as his high school's all-time leading scorer with 2,287 career points. Today, Chris channels that same passion and discipline into helping others reach their highest potential. As a Certified Personal Trainer and Performance Coach, he specializes in strength training, performance enhancement, and long-term physical development. His coaching philosophy is built on accountability, discipline, and maximizing every client's potential both in sport and in life.
